Son of Franco and grandson of Italian offshore sailing icon, Doi, Francesco Malingri has been sailing since he was a youngster.
He has two non-competitive round the worlds to his credit (the first with his family when he was just 13) and a host of ocean crossings (including nine of the Atlantic) in addition to several outings in the Middle Sea Race, Roma per Due, Corsica per Due, the Barcolana and other leading Mediterranean races.
He has been media man aboard Maserati VOR70 since February 2015, during which time he competed as part of the crew in the RORC 600 Antigua Race, helped set the innovative San Francisco-Shanghai Record and sailed in the Rolex Sydney Hobart.
