The delivery to Cape Town continues for Giovanni Soldini and his crew aboard Maserati Multi 70.
Today at 8 UTC the Italian Team was sailing East of Madagascar, dealing with rough sea. Giovanni Soldini explains: “We’re sailing with 18/20 knots of wind, with very long waves from South West, up to 7 meters high. The boat is bouncing on the waves and we slowed down a little. In the next days the wind will turn North more and more: this evening we will gybe on starboard tack and we will head West, towards a cold front that we should reach by morning. After that we will head towards the African coast and we will wait for the East-North-Easterly wind of the high pressure that forms after the front.”
Maserati Multi 70‘s Team has been sailing for a little more than a week and is very happy about the trimaran’s performance: “The boat sails like a charm!”
