At 21.30 UTC (23.30 Italian time), just 12 hours after the start of the Rolex Middle Sea Race, Maserati Multi 70 stays in the lead sailing north of Sicily. Passed Stromboli, Soldini’s Team is sailing at 26.7 knots with 6.5 miles of advantage over his American direct competitor Argo, following at 22.4 knots. Right behind is the Italian MOD 70 Mana, at 24.6 knots. Soldini: “Aboard everything is well, after a small drop of wind near Stromboli, we’re now sailing with 20 knots of east-northeasterly wind”
