Less than 24 hours after her victorious arrival at Malta, Maserati Multi70 has cast off once again and is now bound for La Spezia. Once she arrives there, she’ll undergo a full check and have a second L-foil fitted in the run-up to the start of the RORC Transatlantic Race (Lanzarote-Grenada) on November 26 next.
Maserati Multi70 is being sailed back to Italy by Giovanni Soldini and part of the race team. They are being joined by Vittorio Bissaro (Italian Nacra 17 champion with Silvia Sicouri) who arrived into Malta this morning to get a taste of sailing a leading-edge multihull. The return passage to Italy should take two and a half days. Initially, there will be very light air and then Maserati Multi70 will be beating in a fresh breeze.
