Maserati Multi70 is drawing nearer to the finish at Grenada with each passing hour, and is expected to make landfall between Saturday night and Sunday morning (Italian time). At 16.00 GMT today, Maserati Multi70 was 563 miles from the line and travelling at speeds of between 23 and 28 knots. She is now also 396 miles behind Phaedo3. The American trimaran has just 167 miles ahead of her bows to finish her race.
Despite the fatigue of seven days of Atlantic racing, morale is high aboard Maserati Multi70 as the whole team is enormously satisfied with the speeds logged and the huge progress hailed by her successful ocean foiling.
