At 6 local time (10 UTC), Maserati Multi 70 and Giovanni Soldini are flying in first place, West of Guadeloupe, at a speed of 26 knots, less than 300 miles from the finish line.
A few minutes after the start (yesterday at 14 local time, 18 UTC), Maserati Multi 70 overtook her direct rival Argo and started her rush to catch up with the fleet that set sail a few hours before.
After a few hours, at 19 local time (23 UTC), while sailing West of Saba, the Italian trimaran’s Team took the lead and is now sailing ahead of the fleet, with 3 miles of advantage over American MOD 70 Argo.
The most critical passage starts now: close to Guadeloupe the wind gets lighter, so Maserati Multi 70 will slow down in her run towards the finish line.
