Maserati Multi 70 set sail from Porto Lotti in La Spezia towards Lanzarote, in the Canary Islands, to participate in the eight edition of the RORC Transatlantic Race, organized by the Royal Ocean Racing Club, in association with the International Maxi Association (IMA) and the Yacht Club de France. The race will start from Puerto Calero on January 8th, 2022.
For this delivery, that will take around 4 days, Giovanni Soldini will sail with three members of his team – Thomas Joffrin, Francesco Pedol and Oliver Herrera Perez – and Will Harris, co-skipper of Team Malizia.
Soldini explains: “In the Mediterranean we will sail with a light easterly wind, then in Gibraltar it will get much stronger. Close to the Canaries we’re expecting a depression that will create a headwind, we will see how the weather evolves in the next days”.
