As announced by the weather forecast, the 14th edition of the RORC Caribbean 600 is proceeding at a fast pace: at 7 UTC, just over 15 hours from the start, Maserati Multi70 is sailing in the lead towards the South, with less than 250 miles to cover.
The challenge with the direct rival Zoulou is fierce: for the first tacks, from Antigua to Barbuda, and then to Nevis, Saba and Saint Barth, Maserati Multi70 was in pursuit of her opponent, who then recovered and passed around Saint-Martin, the northernmost point of the route. Now the two trimarans are sailing at high speed towards Guadeloupe.
“Now we have the most complicated passage around Guadeloupe, where anything can happen. It is important to stay focused.”
