Giovanni Soldini and Maserati Multi 70 set sail today at 11.30 local time (15.30 UTC, 16.30 Italian time), from Fort Charlotte, Antigua, for the 12th edition of the RORC Caribbean 600, one of the most anticipated offshore races of the year. On the starting line, with Maserati Multi 70, were 7 more boats, including the Italian trimaran’s direct rival: the American Argo and the English PowerPlay.
Everything is ready in Antigua for the start of the 12th edition of the RORC Caribbean 600: the multihulls will set sail tomorrow at 11.30 local time (15.30 UTC, 16.30 Italian time) from Fort Charlotte, half an hour after the other classes.

Giovanni Soldini and Maserati Multi 70 arrived in Antigua, in the Caribbean, ready for the 12th edition of the RORC Caribbean 600, that will start on February 24th at 11.30 local time (15.30 UTC, 16.30 Italian time), from Fort Charlotte. For this edition the race, organized by the Royal Ocean Racing Club, attracted 74 entrants from more than 20 different countries, divided in 8 classes. Among the multihulls, with Maserati Multi 70, are 6 other boats.
The second edition of the Caribbean Multihull Challenge ended yesterday in Sint Maarten/Saint Martin, the French-Dutch island in the Caribbean. In the final ranking of the ocean racing multihulls class Maserati Multi 70 is in second place, the American Argo is winner overall and the 63’ Shockwave in third place.
Maserati Multi 70‘s Team won the third race of the Caribbean Multihull Challenge: Giovanni Soldini and his crew set sail from Grand Case at 11 local time (15 UTC, 16 Italian time) and they crossed the finish line in Simpson Bay at 14.03.30 local time, finishing the race with an elapsed time of 3 hours, 3 minutes and 30 seconds. Their direct competitor Argo crossed the finish line not even a minute after them, with an elapsed time of 3 hours, 3 minutes and 56 seconds.

The Italian Team and their competitor finished the second race of the Caribbean Multihull Challenge: the American trimaran Argo crossed the finish line off Gran Case first at 12.10 local time (16.10 UTC), only 2 minutes before Maserati Multi 70, which covered the 38-mile-long course in 2 hours, 27 minutes and 36 seconds.
